I LOVE ‘The Real Housewives’ for some mindless entertainment (Hello Salt Lake City). But today, I decided to start my morning differently, and I’m glad I did!

I stumbled upon Grace Beverley‘s podcast, and the episode that caught my eye was “Let’s Talk About How To Be A Better Manager”. Leading a team I’m incredibly proud of (shout out Elena and Emma), I’ve always had imposter syndrome lurking over me, especially as I have no formal training in management (it’s on the list). But this podcast? It gave me a burst of confidence as it really resonated with me, and how I like to manage.

Here are three takeaways that stood out to me:

🗣️ Feedback:  It’s not personal; it’s about growth. It’s all about enhancing our work and achieving collective goals.

👥 Empathy: It’s about understanding, connecting, and building a supportive environment where everyone thrives and there is confidence to communicate.

👄 Communication:  It’s what connects feedback with empathy, ensuring conversations are open, transparent, and full of respect.

At the end of the day, it’s not just about managing; it’s about inspiring and supporting each other to do the best we can for the agency, our clients and of course – ourselves.

Anyway, back to the important stuff 😉, if anyone wants to chat Real Housewives you know where to find me.
