Sorry, it’s been a While.

Hey, remember me!

I used to write this blog 3 times a week, and everyone used to ask me how I had the time and I used to shrug and think – it’s so easy. I gave myself themes and a deadline and stuck to that.

Now, I have probably written one blog post a month, why? I’ve completely lost direction, I’ve not felt the creative burst I used to and I have many, MANY blog posts in my drafts that have never been finished, for so many reasons, but the one that sticks out the most is that I’m just writing for the sake of it – not because I want to.

I used to love writing my blog posts, and as sad as it is, it’s because I used to find myself hilarious, and over the past six months I think I lost my buzz.

Why am I writing this? Because I want my buzz back.

I’m not going to lie to you, I’m going to blame it all on London. My friends ask me –

“How are you finding London?”

I’m really not enjoying it, BUT WAIT.

I love my job, the people I’ve met, my flat and the fact that I’m close to so many friends AND can jump on a train home to Edinburgh whenever needs be. So, what’s up?

I feel like I wake up, get the tube, go to work, get the tube, go to bed – and occasionally take breaks to eat.

I have no money because this city is unbelievably expensive and I screwed myself over by going to an English University so my debt is unbelievable – (no regrets I loved Newcastle).

EVERYTHING IS SO FAR AWAY, no matter what the plans are you have to factor in 45 minutes each way to get to and from anywhere, which is also the reason why I don’t go out that much (plus the money situation).

People always say – but your out ALL THE TIME, I watch your Instagram!

Yeah, Instagram the platform where you fake it til you make it.

A friend of mine has just moved back to London and I told her I wasn’t feeling it, and she said –

“Talor you have to make the most of it, go out do activities and meet new people”

Everyone else said –

“Honestly, wait for Summer, it’s the best”

So, here I am, at the beginning of Summer trying to make the most of London. Without further ado welcome to the new focus of my blog – me doing lots of different activities in the hope to turn my opinion around on London.

I’ m not sure what to name it yet, suggestions welcome – there will be some videos involved once I stop being embarrassed and get my confidence back.

If you have any name suggestions for this section of my blog or things I should do or see in London, leave them in the comments below!

Cheers,

Tx

  1. “London, love it or leave it”
As Samuel Johnson said: When a man is tired of London he’s tired of life.
I think the best advice is get out there and walk, walk, walk you’re bound to find something interesting.
Try the markets, free museums, parks and oddities.
