The other day I was sent an email asking what my Death Row Dinner would be, I became very excited for two reasons:
- I studied Criminology and I love learning and reading about prisons (seriously)
- Having to think of my last meal WAS SO MUCH FUN, although morbid.
Then I came to edit my next ‘Have You Met’ as I do them in order of who sent the questions over to me first and it just so happened to be The Wee Food Blogger, the very same person who sent the wonderful Death Row Dinner questions, coincidence much?
When my Death Row Dinner has been published I will share it with you all, but in the meantime….Have you met..Kim..The Wee Food Blogger?
Why the name The Wee Food Blogger?
I’m quite wee – only 5’2″ and hints at my Scottish roots (I was living in England when I started out)
Describe your blog in three words:
I’m always hungry.
Where do you live and what are your three favourite things about that city?
I now live in Edinburgh and I love the culture, the architecture and the buzz.
What is your favourite food to eat? Why?
Thai food most definitely, I love how fresh and tasty it is without blowing your head off with chilli and spice.
What is your least favourite food to eat? Why?
Goats cheese It reminds me of baby sick… (sorry to anyone who likes it )
What is your favourite restaurant to eat at, why and what do you order?
I’m only newly back to Edinburgh, having been away for 9 years, so I’m looking forward to finding a new favourite!
What is your favourite bar to drink at, why and what do you order?
I went to Dragonfly at the weekend for cocktails which were amazing. The passion fruit martini was delicious!
Where is your favourite place to have a coffee, why and what do you order?
I drink decaf (don’t judge me) and the best decaf I’ve found in Edinburgh was a wee Polish sandwich shop at the top of Leith Walk called Sandwich Express. I don’t think even the hardiest of coffee drinkers would be able to tell it was decaf.
You can only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Ahhh this is really hard! Duck Penang curry or chicken itame from Wagamamas.
What is your biggest food vice?
What is your favourite city for food? Any recommendations?
I lived in Brighton for 9 years so I would have to say there as I tried them all out. I wrote about my most memorable meals on my blog recently for a full list of all the goodies.
Fill in the gaps: If I had to be food I would be… Camembert because it’s strong but with a soft centre and you either love it or hate it.
What are your three favourite social media accounts to follow? (Can be any form of social media)
@edinburghgirlmag on Instagram – I run a meetup group for 20-something girls in Edinburgh and this is where you can find out what we’re up to
@day.in.the.city – this is my boyfriend’s photographic journey Instagram and he posts lots of beautiful photos
@lauraponts – this girls Instagram is literally one of the most beautiful good styling accounts in the world
