The Caley Sample Room, Edinburgh

This lovely pub is on Angle Park Terrace, it is just enough out of town to not be constantly filled with people, and yet have the right amount of people to feel comfortable in. It is all wooden decor, has a large range of beer and dog friendly.

I started off with the Ham Hock Terrine with Piccalilli, it was lovely I really enjoyed it, every little bit of this dish went well together and the terrine was full of flavour!

I then had the Tempura Battered Haddock with Homemade Chips and Minted Mushy Peas, the fish was not what I expected however was cooked lovely and was not dry at all, the chips were delicious it’s always nice when there is still a little bit of skin on them, the peas were good, they were not very mushy and didn’t taste of mint but I still enjoyed them!

The service was good and I really liked it in there!
